Seven businesses report burglaries

At least seven businesses were burglarized overnight Tuesday along Industrial Road and the cross sections, Emporia Police Department Police Chief Gary Smith said.
Smith said the police department has developed a number of leads in the case. The burglaries occurred at 2528 and 2530 W. 15th Ave., 2501 W. 18th Ave. (two offices), 810 Industrial Road, 24 S. Prairie St., and 2608 W. 12th Ave. Smith said all the burglaries have the same pattern.
Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 342-2273 or 1-800 KS Crime (1-800-572-7463) or the Emporia Police Department at 343-4200.
