Angel food orders due now

Angel Food orders for the Oct. 25 delivery will be taken on several days this week at three Emporia churches and one church in Americus.
Standard boxes, as well as bonus and senior boxes, may be ordered. No limits on income or quantities are required to participate. Cash, money orders, or food stamps/Vision cards are accepted; checks are not.
The standard box of food will contain: 1.5 lb. ribeye steaks, 4.5 lb. avg. split chicken breast family tray, 26-oz. heat and serve meatloaf with brown gravy, 1 lb. chicken breast fajita strips, 1 lb. boneless center-cut pork chops, 1 lb. fully cooked meatballs, 1 lb. all-meat hot dogs, 1 lb. frozen sliced carrots, 1 lb. pasta, 28-oz. marinara sauce, 48-oz. Hawaiian Punch, 32-oz. 2 percent reduced fat dry milk, 12-ct. corn tortillas, 1 dozen eggs, 1 dessert item.
The box costs $30, tax included.
Senior boxes and fully cooked and ready to heat and eat. Each box, which sells for $28, contains 10 low-fat, no-added sodium meals that include one 3-oz. protein, two vegetables or fruit, and a starch. Entrees include barbecue chicken, meatloaf with brown herb gravy, sweet’n sour chicken, Creole baked white fish, Salisbury steak with brown mushroom gravy; meat patties with country-style gravy and onions, thyme-baked chicken, chicken curry with vegetables, spaghetti with meat sauce, and ground beef stroganoff.
Bonus boxes, which can be purchased with either a regular or a senior box, cost from $18 to $21 each, depending on contents.
The $18 bonus box contains 10 pounds of breaded chicken tenders.
The $21 boxes include a 7-pound grill box of assorted beef and pork cuts, a 4.5-pound steak and chicken combo, a 3.75-pound T-bone special, and a 17-pound box of assorted fruits and vegetables.

Orders may be placed at these dates and times at the following churches:
Emporia Presbyterian Church, 802 Commercial St.: 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday; 4 to 7 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday Enter at either the north or south door and follow the signs to place an order.
Americus United Presbyterian Church, 557 Orange St.: 1 to 6 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Grace United Methodist Church, 2 Neosho St.: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; 2 to 6 p.m. Friday; or 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Emporia Church of the Nazarene, 2931 W. 24th Ave.: 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Orders must be picked up at the times designated by the churches. Boxes that are not picked up will be given away to charitable organizations.
Participants need to be large empty boxes to exchange for their food order boxes.
