Saturday, June 21, 2008

Two people were taken to Newman Regional Health Friday afternoon after a crash in the 400 block of West Highway 50, near Road D.

According to Lyon County Sheriff's Deputy Jerrod Fell, a 2005 Dodge passenger vehicle driven by Timothy W. Little, 40, was eastbound on the highway when Little attempted to pass another vehicle and struck an oncoming 2002 Chevy Cavalier driven by Richard J. Hunt, 47.

Debris from the accident struck a third vehicle, a 2004 Dodge Durango driven by Dustin D. Warnkentine, 28.

Little and Hunt were taken by Emporia-Lyon County Ambulance Service to Newman Regional Health.

Both men were treated and released, according to a spokesperson for Newman Regional Health.
